Gems are items that can be found down in the Cavern or obtained by opening geodes. Gems are rare and valuable and can be donated to the museum to complete the gem collection. The player can also sell gems for money or use them for enchanting or gifts.
Uses[]
Each gem can be donated to the museum once for 3 Museum
. Completing donation for all 35 gems will also earn 40 Museum as well as unique rewards from museum and Bejeweled
. Gems can be duplicated through slime of replication and can also be sold or gifted.
Gems are considered universally liked gifts with some exceptions: Archie and the Chieftain love all gems and Pablo is neutral towards them. Additionally, several townsfolk love or hate certain gems.
Pink diamond is universally loved gifts with Jim as the only exception.
As of v0.3, gems can also be used as fuel for the enchanting system with each gem being worth a set amount of points based on its rarity. A list of all items that can be used for enchanting and their point values can be found on the Enchanting page.

Geodes[]
Geodes can be obtained by breaking rocks on the player's farm or in the cavern with a pickaxe. Rarely, they can be obtained by fishing in mines as well.
Despite being listed in the gems section of the player's journal, geodes are not considered gems for gifting and cannot be donated to the museum. Geodes need to be opened at Sanchez Brothers Blacksmith instead. Cracking a geode open costs 20
per piece. The item a geode contains is selected randomly at the moment it is opened and changes if the player reloads the day and opens that geode again.
