Mechanics[]

Obtaining seedlings[]

A variety of seedlings can be purchased at Sam's General Store. The store selection depends on the current season and the player's town rank.

Basics[]

Fruit plants can only be planted on the player's farm into soil tilled by a hoe. Tilling soil consumes the player's energy. Once the soil is tilled, the player can place fertilizer and any seedling into a 2x2 square. A tile may then be watered using a watering can; the action consumes the player's energy. A planted and watered seedling will start growing.

Fruit plants have to be watered can every day with the exception of a rainy days. Watered fruit plants will grow the next day. Unwatered fruit plants will not grow the next day, but will not wither until being off-season. Fruit plants can last for 2 seasons.

When fruit plants are ready to harvest, the player must do it manually by shaking the plant, this will yield a minimum of 2 fruits, with a chance of 3 with some farming mastery skills.

Any fruit plant can be removed from its tiles during any growth stage by hitting it with an axe.

Growth and regrowth times[]

Every fruit plant takes 10 days to grow and goes through a specific number of growth stages. These growth times include the day the seedling is first planted and watered. Meaning, if a seedling is planted on day 1, it'll be ready to be harvested on day 11, provided they are still watered everyday from day 1 to day 10.

All fruit plants will regrow 4 days after each harvest, provided they are still watered everyday. The pattern persists until the fruit plant is cut down or until the season change that kills the plant.

Some farming mastery skills give the player a chance to speed up the plant growth; a Flash fertilizer can also be used prior to planting to increase the growth rate.

Quality[]

The Laboratory offers upgrade to the player's seeds, plants, fruit trees, and hay. Each upgrade costs some essence produced from kelps using the Extractor and coins.

Upgrade Type Cost Essence
Bronze seedling 2000 × 2,000  Bronze kelp essence × 6
Silver seedling 5000 × 5,000  Silver kelp essence × 6
Gold seedling 10000 × 10,000  Gold kelp essence × 6
Osmium seedling 20000 × 20,000  Osmium kelp essence × 6

Upgrades purchased at the laboratory apply to all seedlings in the player's inventory or planted on the farm and all future seedling purchases with no increase in price. Once upgraded, the base quality of all fruit plant produce will increase.
