Charles is a local doctor. He uses his free time to catch up with the islanders at the tavern and sometimes just goes around giving out medical advice.

In-game bio

Charles is one of the characters in Coral Island that the player can befriend and eventually romance. He is one of the town doctors, the other being Yuri.

Though not initially a marriage candidate, he was added as a bachelor due to Coral Island's Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign reaching its US$750,000 stretch goal.

Personality

Charles, a town doctor, uses his free time catching up with the islanders at the Tavern and going around spitting out medical advice. Bad luck seems to have its way with Charles. In his youth, he was disowned by his parents, worked his way through medical school, and when he finally thought he caught a break by almost marrying the love of his life, sorrow came running through the door — he caught them cheating, called the wedding off, and has been heartbroken since... He now lives with an overgrown frat-boy, Scott, for a housemate.

Kickstarter biography

As can be expected of a doctor, Charles is very health conscious - both physically and mentally - and frequently offers health tips and reminders to the people he runs into around town. He has a less overt interest in fashion as well, and makes an effort to keep his hair stylish and healthy.

Relationships

Charles lives at Charles House with his housemate Scott. The two seem to get along well enough despite their different personalities. He is also friendly with his co-worker at the clinic Yuri, and the Community Center librarian Millie whom he sees often when picking up new books.

Charles is a frequent visitor to the Hair Salon and has a decent rapport with Erika as his usual stylist.

According to his Kickstarter biography, Charles has been disowned by his parents for something in his youth and more recently separated from his ex-fiancee after catching them cheating. He's struggled with pursuing romantic relationships since, but has come to better appreciate the welcoming and open-mindedness he's been met with since coming to Coral Island.
