The Band of Smiles is an adventurers' guild active in the Coral Island area. Kira runs the island's local branch and makes the final decisions on its membership while Jio Dan runs the guild store. The hideout also contains a job board to take on guild-specific Errands.

Mark and visiting adventurers, Axel and Senja, are also members and can be found frequenting the guild's hideout next door to Kira's home at the Huntress Cabin.

Invitation

The Band of Smiles Hideout is locked at the beginning of the game and can only be accessed once the player has completed the trial Kira sets out for them. After the player has reached level 10 of the Earth mine, Kira sends the following letter:

Hey kid. I noticed that the elevator for the earth shaft now reaches level 10. I know it was your doing.

Since you've proven yourself worthy. Defeat 30 monsters then stop by our guild room when the job is done. This is your entrance exam.

Slaying the 30 monsters required for the quest Entrance Exam directs the player to the Band of Smiles Hideout where Kira and the present guild members finalize the player's initiation into the guild. Once a member, the player has full access to the guild's services during its open hours.

Job Board

The Band of Smiles has its own job board separate from the one found in Starlet Town. Errands posted to this board typically involve fighting monsters or obtaining resources from the cavern. Further details on the types of errands requested by the Band of Smiles can be found on the Errands page.

Stock

The guild store sells a variety of items and equipment useful for adventuring in the cavern. New stock is added as the player progresses through the mines and ocean levels in their Combat skill and completes errands for the guild.
